Married at First Sight’s Booka Nile reportedly stalked after returning home to Perth - PerthNow

Married at First Sight’s Booka Nile has reportedly been stalked after returning home to Perth.

Madeline, the WA bride’s housemate and best friend, appeared on the show as a bridesmaid during Booka’s wedding to Brett Helling.

In a dramatic dinner party last night, Booka said she was “done” with the relationship and Brett admitted he felt the same way, with the couple expected to leave the experiment next week.

Now, Madeline has given the inside scoop on her friend’s life post-MAFS — perhaps as revenge for the pink bridesmaid’s dress — on the So Dramatic podcast.

Asked if Booka had a secret boyfriend that she’s been keeping under wraps while the show aired, Madeline responded: “No, no. Few stalkers since she’s returned from MAFS, which has been very difficult for us to deal with”.

“Just a few guys that have maybe got a bit overexcited and the whole MAFS thing has really excited them,” she said. “And they’ve like not left her alone and she’s had to block their numbers.”

The young mum, whose daughter lives in the house she shares with Booka, said the behaviour has become so bad they no longer feel safe and are set to move.

“We’ve had a guy try to break in and stuff constantly, it’s been pretty gross,” she continued.

Madeline said they had even asked their landlord to put up a fence to keep a particular man from coming near the house, who they caught “lingering at 10pm the other night”.

“We called the police (and have) made a report and everything, but... literally as soon as we walk outside, he just runs away”.

She said that while Booka had been warned that “things like that can actually happen” because of how invested fans can get in reality stars, the interactions have been “super freaky”.

“She’s experienced it as a musician but having people invested in her inter-personal relationships, it’s a whole new level — pretty freaky,” she said.

Madeline also dished some dirt on Booka’s ‘husband’ Brett, including allegations of racist, sexist and homophobic behaviour that reportedly didn’t make it to air.
