Golden Globe awards 2021 nominations for Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Emma Corrin, Anja Taylor Joy, Chadwick Boseman - ABC News

It's been a year like no other in film and television, with many productions and releases thwarted by the coronavirus pandemic restrictions. But, nevertheless, the 2021 Golden Globes go on.

With the awards set to go ahead on February 28 (the morning of March 1 in Australia) here are the nominees, and their reactions.

Best motion picture — drama

Borat creator Sacha Baron Cohen said if his film didn't win, he had "already hired Rudy Giuliani to contest the results" — a nod to a scene in the film where Donald Trump's lawyer Giuliani appears to be in a compromised position.

There has been some conjecture around Minari's inclusion in this category.

The film is about a Korean family moving to Arkansas in the pursuit of the American dream, and while much of the film is spoken in Korean, there is also a lot of English. It's also an American-made film.
