Chris Hemsworth knows he’s everybody’s fake celebrity best friend.
The star has made the fact clear in his hilarious – albeit creepy – new ad for fitness app Centr in which he spruiks his team while playfully talking up his own popularity in a way only Chris Hemsworth can get away with.
The bulked-up star is like you’ve never seen him before in the trippy clip posted to Instagram today, with his head superimposed on different bodies including yoga mums and a little girl in a tutu.
It’s quite a sight.

“I’ll be honest … I only got this app in the first place because, well, it’s Chris Hemsworth. Obviously he’s not the one doing the workouts, but it’s his team, so it’s like, basically the same thing,” he begins as a woman lifting weights in the clip.
“I know what you mean, I feel closer to Chris already,” her friend (also with a Chris head) responds.

“I just wanted to be healthier overall. I don’t want to be like Chris because that’s f***ing weird … Put us in a cage together I’ll tear his little face off,” Chris as a gruff dad at a barbecue tells the camera.
“Look how strong mumma is! She pretends to be a bear sometimes with her friend called Ashley,” a tiny Chris in a dress and unicorn headband says while zooming by in a pink toy car, later riding around on her mum’s back.
“You know, Chris Hemsworth’s actually pretty average. It’s his team that’s awesome,” it concludes.

Posting the cheeky clip to his Instagram page today, the Thor star quipped in the caption: “If it’s results you wanna see my team is a-head of the game.”
Fans’ reactions were mixed, but it’s fair to say most were delighted by the quirky approach.
“This is freaky as hell dude,” one wrote.
“Hemsworth buddy u good,” another jokingly asked.
“You gots a massive head bro,” one more said, while one enthusiastic fan added: “YOUR HEAD ON THE GIRL BYEEE.”
It comes after Hemsworth made his fitness and wellbeing app free for six weeks during the coronavirus lockdown last year, but was inundated with complaints when some users were hit with surprise charges.
The app, which normally costs $29.99 a month, works by generating a personalised, daily workout and meal-plan-based details the user puts in when signing up.
The approach appears to be working for the ripped actor, who is looking the biggest he’s ever been as filming for Thor: Love And Thunder continues.
Earlier this month, he gave fans a glimpse of how he maintains his incredible physique, sharing a workout video that will leave you feeling tremendously slack.
