Fifi Box announces she’s competing in Dancing With The Stars: All Stars - NEWS.com.au

A handful of past Dancing With The Stars favourites are set to dust off their dancing shoes for Channel 7’s upcoming All Stars season.

Announced today, former runner-up Fifi Box is among them – but she says it’s going to be quite the challenge given she’s been focusing on motherhood over fitness for the past couple of years.

Spilling the news on air this morning, The Fox Melbourne radio host and mum-of-two, 43, joked that she “hasn’t left this chair” for two-and-a-half years since before the birth of her daughter Daisy.

“Fitness has not been my thing for the past two or three years. I haven’t done much … so surprise, surprise, I am about to hit the dancefloor,” she told co-hosts Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody.

“It’s been 14 years since I was on the dancefloor, it’s a long time between dances … I am back baby!” she added, explaining of her time on the show: “Being on Dancing With The Stars back in 2007, it was one of the highlights of my life. I loved it so much, it was this incredible experience.”

Co-host Fev went on to playfully remind the “brilliant” amateur dancer of the time she stacked it down the stairs to the stage, replaying audio from the moment host Daryl Somers described her falling “face forward” in front of the audience.

“I’ve got it heavily strapped and I’m on painkillers,” Fifi is heard responding in the throwback audio.

“And that’s why she takes the elevator!” Fev joked after the clip played.

She added that she is coming from “ground zero” but will start training today in preparation for her dance partner, Jeremy.

“I don’t know who else is going to be in it, I don’t know a lot of things, but I do know I have a dancer and his name is Jeremy. I don’t know if he knows what he’s up against,” she joked.

While the full cast of five returning stars as well as the hosts and judges is yet to be announced, here’s what we know:

ADA NICODEMOU

Home And Away star Ada Nicodemou is returning to the ballroom with her original dance partner Aric Yegudkin.

The pair were season 3 champions in 2005, defeating Seven News presenter Chris Bath and Australian Idol judge Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson.

Since the announcement on Sunday, she’s posted her own throwback snap to Instagram, reminiscing on “one of her favourite dances” the paso doble.

FIFI BOX

Fifi was runner up to Kate Ceberano on season 6 in 2007.

Other contenders that season included Tim Campbell, Jamie Durie, Todd Woodbridge, Wendell Sailor and Naomi Robson.

Could they be taking another spin on the dancefloor, too?

As for the hosts, stars previously at the helm of the show include: Daryl Somers, Daniel MacPherson, Sonia Kruger, Edwina Bartholomew, Shane Bourne, Grant Denyer and Amanda Keller.

Mel B even held a short stint as co-host in 2012 alongside Daniel MacPherson.

Last season, the judging panel featured Craig Revel Horwood, Sharna Burgess and Tristan MacManus, with an impressive past roster of faces including Todd McKenney, Helen Richey, Paul Mercurio, Adam Garcia and Kym Johnson.

Dancing With The Stars: All Stars is coming soon to Channel 7 and 7 plus.
