Kanye West has offered to pay the full college tuition fees for Gianna Floyd, the six-year-old daughter of George Floyd, a black man who died at the hands of four Minneapolis police officers on May 29.
The donation comes as a 529 college savings plan which is type of trust used in the US to assist with educational expenses, like university.
So far West has given $US2 million ($A3.06 million) to assist the families Mr Floyd, as well Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, with additional donations to cover their legal costs, reports TMZ.

In February 2020, 25-year-old Mr Arbery was fatally shot by two white men while jogging in his neighbourhood of Brunswick, Georgia. His death garnered international attention when a 36-second video was leaked in May with outage over the fact it took police three months to make an arrest.
Ms Taylor was a 26-year-old African-American emergency room technician who was killed by police during the investigation of a drug case involving two other men. On March 13, 2020 officers used a battering ram to enter her apartment, in which a confrontation led to her being shot at least eight times.
Both cases are currently driving intense protests and demonstrations against anti-black racism and systemic police brutality in the US.
The newly minted billionaire has also made donations to African-American owned businesses which have been impacted by the civil unrest currently seen across the US.
West’s famous wife, reality TV star and law student Kim Kardashian-West, has also publicly shared her support for the Black Lives Matter movement. The 39-year-old penned a moving Instagram post speaking about her own “privilege” and “outrage” over the deaths.
“For years, with every horrific murder of an innocent black man, woman, or child, I have always tried to find the right words to express my condolences and outrage, but the privilege I am afforded by the colour of my skin has often left me feeling like this is not a fight that I can truly take on my own,” she wrote.
“Not today, not anymore. Like so many of you, I am angry. I am more than angry. I am infuriated and I am disgusted.
“I am exhausted by the heartbreak I feel seeing mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and children suffering because their loved one was murdered or locked away unjustly for being black.”
She further announced she would be donating to a number of anti-racism organisations, among them which include Black Lives Matter network, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, National Urban League, Color Of Change.
“We stand in solidarity with the fight against systemic racism and are committed to supporting and participating in the shift hat needs to take place,” she wrote on the Instagram page of her shape-wear brand, SKIMS.
“We hope you join us in taking action to make lasting change.”
