“I have never posted anything like this but to lose a friend who was such a beautiful soul is just really hard,” Siriano wrote.
“This is for Jeremy, the most beautiful man that gave so much love to everyone he met no matter what.
“He was one of my muses and he always will be.
“He inspired me and I will love him forever.”
Ruehlemann - who modelled for the likes of Perry Ellis and Superdry - was active on social media just days before news of his death was revealed, posting an image of himself behind the scenes at a Tommy Hilfiger photoshoot on January 20.
“Bts with Tommy,” he captioned an image of himself shirtless with a clothing rack in the background.
The 27-year-old model’s death came as a shock to his social media following, with tributes pouring in.
Hilfiger’s brother Andy was one of those who commented on the post.
“So sorry,” he wrote.
“So surreal to think we spoke two days ago and you were fine and happy!” another friend shared.
“To Jeremy’s family and friends: my deepest condolences. So tragic to lose someone so young.
“I’m really shaken by this sad news. It really puts everything into perspective!
“Jeremy lives on living forever in the memories of those who love him.”
Stylist Luis Rodriguez also took to Instagram to share more photos he had taken of Ruehlemann over the weekend.
“Took these pics of Jeremy on Friday. A FAB model and sweet man. R.I.P beautiful boy!!!!!!!!,” he wrote.
Ruehlemann’s cause of death has not been released.
Celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo also paid tribute to the model.
“Heartbroken by the news of my dear friend @Ruehlemann’s passing,” he shared.
“He made such a large impact on everyone he met. In this industry you meet a lot of people, but he was one of those people that even if you met him once he would have a part of your heart forever.
“My Team and I love and cherish the time we had working with him. A true friend, you will be loved and remembered forever. RIP Jeremy.”
In a reel posted to his Instagram page 26 weeks before his death, Ruehlemann spoke about how “the best feeling in the world” was “being happy after you were sad”.
“I promise you, feel your emotions, don’t numb them with anything... just feel them, get over them. I promise you it’s the best way to really get happy,” he said.
