New details have emerged about the accident which has left Marvel star Jeremy Renner injured in hospital.
The actor is currently in a “critical but stable” condition after sustaining injuries while ploughing snow on the weekend.
The 51-year-old actor is best known for playing Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Thor (2011) and The Avengers (2012).

Renner was airlifted to hospital on Sunday “after experiencing a weather-related accident while ploughing the snow earlier today”, a representative said.
TMZ is reporting Renner had been ploughing the road near his Reno home but the ploughing machine - called a Snowcat - somehow got out of control and ran over one of the Hawkeye star’s legs.
The outlet is reporting Renner was bleeding heavily afterwards, but was helped by a neighbour who is a doctor who slowed the bleeding.
The neighbour applied a tourniquet to Renner’s leg and he was airlifted to hospital.
Renner owns a home in Reno near Mt Rose Ski Tahoe, where a large storm hit on New Year’s Eve, leaving about 35,000 homes without power.
On December 13, he shared a photo of snow in the area to Twitter, writing: “Lake Tahoe snowfall is no joke.”
On Instagram, he posted several clips of himself behind the wheel of a snow plough.
“Nearly done with sledding hill for the kids,” the post was captioned.
Information on the nature and extent of the actor’s injuries has not been released.
The two-time Oscar nominee currently stars in the TV series Mayor of Kingstown.
Renner was nominated for Best Actor at the 2010 Academy Awards for his performance in The Hurt Locker.
The following year, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Town.
He has also appeared in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, American Hustle, The Bourne Legacy and 28 Weeks Later.
Renner shares daughter Ava, 9, with ex-wife Sonni Pacheco.
