Damning allegations revealed in Prince Harry's leaked memoir - TODAY Show

Copies of Prince Harry's highly anticipated memoir Spare have been released early and the pages contain even more explosive details from his private life with the royal family than first thought.

But with damning allegations against his brother William and his wife Catherine, his "wicked stepmother" Camilla and even King Charles himself, there is likely even more damage to be done.

"I don't think we've heard the last of it - I think Harry and Meghan still have a lot more to say," Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers told Today.

In the 550-plus pages of the memoir, "Harry absolutely brutalises every single member of his family", according to Myers.

He accuses his brother of manhandling him - causing him to fall to the floor - and claims William and Catherine were behind him choosing to wear a Nazi costume in 2005 and were "howling with laughter" when they saw him in it.

Harry also calls his father an old man and accuses him of "sadistically" joking about tabloid suggestions Harry was the result of an affair between Princess Diana and British Army captain James Hewitt.

"It really is extraordinary and it's as explosive as we imagined," Myers said.

"There's page after page of allegations and claims and the response from the palace has been deafening - there's been absolutely nothing from them."

But despite the pointed attacks on his family, Myers said "there's a vein of sadness" in the book.

"There is real despair throughout - talking about conspiracy theories, that he'd seen a clairvoyant to speak to his mother from the afterlife and he'd travelled down the Parisien tunnel that she died in when he was younger," Myers said.

"These are things that have haunted Harry for his entire life and he's never really been able to pull himself out of the mould of the institution."

But Myers said while there were high hopes for Harry when he met Meghan and started a family of his own, the couple's decision to go public with how tortured he was is doing irreparable damage.

"This surely must be the end of any reconciliation now," he said.
