Eight years after she broke onto Hollywood’s radar in The Wolf Of Wall Street, Margot Robbie has gone from screen siren to one of the world’s most in-demand actresses.
The Australian star, 31, has been nominated for an Oscar twice, and has worked alongside showbiz’s biggest names including Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith, Brad Pitt and Nicole Kidman, to name a few.
That isn’t slowing down anytime soon with a string of new movie projects ahead of her, including the live-action Barbie and a star-studded untitled David O’Russell film, but The Suicide Squad star is terrified she’s hit her peak.
“Honestly, this keeps me up at night, this very question,” she said when asked if she feels she’s hit her apex in an interview with Fox News.
“I feel like I have peaked and maybe it’s all downhill from here.
“Maybe I’m at the top and it can’t get any better.
“I hope that’s not the case because I still feel like I have a lot to give and there’s still a lot of directors I want to work with. And, you know, I’m just going to keep climbing as long as I can.”

But it’s clear she’s alone in worrying about that.
In 2017, Time named Robbie one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Acclaimed director, Martin Scorsese, who directed Robbie in The Wolf Of Wall Street, penned an article about the Aussie actress declaring her star power as evergreen.
He wrote, “[Robbie has] a unique audacity that surprises and challenges and just burns like a brand into every character she plays. Margot is stunning in all she is and all she does, and she will astonish us forever.”

On top of her acting work, Robbie is also busy running her own production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, which made the Oscar-nominated I, Tonya on an $11 million budget and produces strong female-driven content including 2020’s Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey and Promising Young Woman.
Robbie is currently promoting the James-Gunn directed The Suicide Squad, in which she reprises her role as Harley Quinn.
In the 2016 film, her character was in a volatile relationship with the Joker (Jared Leto), but Robbie says she welcomed her character’s journey to standing on her own two feet for the sequel.

“It’s not with Mr. J. for once, which is pretty exciting for me because [Harley] was literally invented as Mr. J’s girlfriend — like she entered the universe as someone’s girlfriend,” Robbie added to Fox News.
“So to see her kind of really evolve to a place where he doesn’t even need to be mentioned just shows that, I guess the popularity of the character has grown as she has grown emotionally as well. It’s kind of cool.”
The Suicide Squad hits theatres today.
