I’m A Celeb winner Abbie Chatfield has revealed that she’s been forced to move homes after receiving death threats.
The reality star has been a target of trolls ever since she appeared on Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor.
Speaking to Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa this morning, Abbie explained she has received “literal death threats”.
Asked to describe the worst threat she’s received online, Abbie explained: “It was a voice note. It had a lot of C words in it, but basically it was like, ‘If I ever see you I’ll strangle you to death.’”

The threat terrified Abbie because she had recently been papped outside her home in Brisbane, so it would have been easy for the troll to figure out where she lived.
When asked if she had gone to the police, Abbie replied: “Yeah, and they said they can’t do anything unless I’m physically hurt.”
She continued: “The cops said, ‘Just block him’. And I said, ‘But then there’s no trail, there’s no paper trail. If I block them we can’t find them again, it’s a fake account.’ So I just keep them there … and they message me every so often saying how they want me to die.
“But it’s all good, I’m moving,” she said.
TROLLED FOR YEARS
Abbie has previously spoken publicly about the vicious comments she’s received on social media in the past couple of years.
In a lengthy post last year, she said she feared for her safety after receiving threats online.
After sharing a number of threatening messages, Abbie wrote on Instagram: “F**k you if you’ve ever messaged anyone something even close to this. This is why people commit suicide after being catapulted into the spotlight by a TV show.
“Am I grateful for The Bachelor? Yes! Does ANYTHING anyone does on these shows warrant this? F**K NO. These are just 10 of the messages I’ve saved over the last year. Threats of violence, name calling, threats to my safety and general snide comments still happen a year on.”
She continued: “At one point I was scared to be recognised in public, for fear of my safety. I still get worried when people ask for photos with me that they’re going to say something to hurt me or take a photo with me and joke about me with their friends.
“This isn’t a joke. This isn’t f***ing funny and this isn’t fair. I shouldn’t be falling asleep worried someone will break into my apartment and strangle me!”
