Rumours are swirling former foreign affairs minister Julie Bishop is dating again, four months after her long-time partner broke up with her over dinner.
The glamorous former politician has been recently enjoying the company of Sydney entrepreneur Luke Hepworth and have recently attended several events together, including last month's Perth Telethon.
Hepworth fuelled speculation after posting several photos of the pair together on Instagram attending various events in Sydney and Perth.
However he strongly denied he and Bishop are an item, insisting they're just friends.
'We are working on a charity project for the Children's Cancer Institute. We are definitely not dating, mate,' Hepworth told The Daily Telegraph.
'I am not in a relationship.'
'No mate, she is just a good friend of mine and a wonderful human, so we have been to a couple of charity events.'
But Hepworth did confirm he's known Bishop for several years after they first met at a Gold Charity dinner.
He describes himself an adventure philanthropist and adrenalin junkie.
Hepworth has recently posted a series of photos of the pair attending the Perth Telethon gala event which raised $9million for sick children.
He also shared photos of the pair attending the recent opening of Nobu restaurant at Crown Sydney, a Sydney Dance Company launch and the inaugural Street Side Medics Gala Ball.
Bishop attended the ball in August, just weeks after she split with long-time partner David Panton.
Bishop, 66, is currently in London where she rubbed shoulders with some very famous faces at the launch of Dr Gene Sherman's The Spoken Object.
She stole the spotlight in a silver sparkly Max Mara mini dress as she posed with Princess Beatrice, former British Prime Minister David Cameron and Australian A-list actress Isla Fisher.
Bishop's eight-year romance with property developer David Panton ended over dinner in Sydney in July - just a week after the couple visited London together and dined with Prince Charles.
The couple went to dinner in Sydney's CBD where Mr Panton told a shocked Bishop the relationship had run its course.
'I'm going to be focused on living in Manly and Melbourne for the foreseeable future,' Mr Panton told the Sydney Morning Herald at the time.
'I wish Julie all the best in her ongoing stellar career.'
Ms Bishop was understood to have been 'blindsided' by the sudden breakdown of her relationship, sources close to the former politician said.
During their partnership, she took Mr Panton to the United Nations to meet world leaders, Buckingham Palace to hobnob with British royalty and to the White House where he met Donald and Melania Trump.
The pair first stepped out publicly in 2014, and were pictured at countless celebrity events over the years including the 2018 wedding of Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough.
