Jackie 'O' Henderson bursts into tears live on air in botched prank call - Daily Mail

Hysterical Jackie 'O' Henderson bursts into tears live on air as a 'p**sed off neighbour' from Woollahra confronts her over THAT bin dispute

Radio presenter Jackie 'O' Henderson was reduced to tears on The Kyle and Jackie O Show after an on-air prank spectacularly backfired.

The 46-year-old had made headlines on Monday after she blasted the so-called 'scumbags' in her neighbourhood who had dumped their rubbish in her bins.

But an apologetic Jackie acknowledged on Wednesday she'd made a mistake after checking inside her bins and realising the rubbish was actually a stack of her own unwanted newspapers that she'd left to pile up on the lawn.

'A lovely kind neighbour has thought, "I'll clean up Jackie's mess and put it in her bin",' she added.

Jackie, who lives in an $11million mansion in Woollahra, in Sydney's eastern suburbs, was then left mortified after her co-host Kyle Sandilands told her he had a woman on the line claiming to be Jackie's 'angry neighbour'.

In reality, it was was a KIIS FM staffer pretending to be her neighbour as part of the show's long-running 'Only Lying' prank segment.

'I'm one of the neighbours in the end of the cul-de-sac and I just wanted to ring and say thanks Jackie for the blast on the radio. I'm pretty p**sed that you blamed us,' the woman raged.

The horrified mother of one insisted she had never specifically blamed her neighbours for the bin incident.

'Oh, I'm not! No! I wasn't!' Jackie stammered, adding: 'I didn't even blame you guys... I never said, "you guys". I said "someone"!'

But the woman wasn't satisfied with Jackie's explanation.

'I think it was insinuated, that [it was neighbours]. And we live in a pretty nice street,' she snapped, to which Jackie replied: 'Yeah, 100 per cent! I love all my neighbours.'

Tension grew as the woman continued to lash out at Jackie while refusing to accept her repeated apologies.

'There's a few p**sed-off people in the street, Jackie,' she warned.

An overwhelmed Jackie then burst into tears, forcing the prank caller to reveal it was just a joke and she wasn't actually one of her neighbours.

Kyle then admitted he may have taken things too far.

'Jackie is crying... I thought this would be hilarious, and it's backfired. I'm sorry, Jackie!' he said.

'I thought the whole street hated me!' Jackie wept. 'I want my neighbours to like me, not hate me!'

The botched prank came two days after Jackie ranted about 'scumbags' dumping their rubbish in her bins, saying the act was the 'lowest of the low'.

She whinged: 'Some a***hole has dumped all their rubbish in my bins. What a p***k. That's the lowest of low, you scumbag.'

'Struggle in the eastern suburbs!' Kyle laughed, which prompted Jackie, who lives with her 10-year-old daughter Kitty, to explain why she was so irritated.

'We only get little bins, so every space counts. Little tiny bins,' she said.

Two And A Half Men child star Angus T. Jones looks unrecognisable in LA | Photos | news.com.au — Australia's leading news site - NEWS.com.au

He disappeared after Two And A Half Men finished - now, former child star Angus T. Jones has been spotted looking vastly different to his sitcom days.

Former Two And A Half Men child star Angus T. Jones is looking virtually unrecognisable to his TV days.

The now 27-year-old, who was only 10 when he was cast as Jake Harper in the hit sitcom in 2003, cut a vastly different figure in new paparazzi images as he strolled around California, sporting a thick beard and bare feet.

The reclusive former TV star, who has a reported net worth of $27 million, hasn’t appeared on screen since the Two And A Half Men finale in 2015, apart from a brief feature in a web series called Horace And Pete in 2016.

Jones, who played the nephew of Charlie Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper, and son of Jon Cryer’s character, Alan Harper, became the highest paid child star in television in 2010 at age 17 when his new contract awarded him $10.6 million over the forthcoming two seasons.

This amounted to $410,000 per half-hour episode for an average of 22 episodes a season.

When Sheen was famously sacked from the show in 2011 following a highly publicised downward spiral in which he made disparaging comments about series creator Chuck Lorre, it wasn’t long before Jones also took aim at the series.

In late 2012, Jones publicly revealed he had become a devout Christian, declaring he had been baptised and no longer wanted to appear on the show, dubbing it “filth” as he urged people not to watch it.

“Jake from Two And A Half Men means nothing,” he said in a YouTube video discussing his religious awakening. “He is a non-existent character. If you watch Two And A Half Men, please stop watching Two And A Half Men. I’m on Two and a Half Men and I don’t want to be on it.”

The show’s US network CBS announced in April 2013 that Jones was being downgraded to a recurring status for the show’s 11th season, but ultimately he didn’t appear at all.

In 2014, Jones officially announced his departure from the show, stating he had been “a paid hypocrite” for the last few seasons.

“I wasn’t OK with it and I was still doing it,” Jones said in an interview with a TV station in Houston at the time.

“It was making light of topics in our world that are really problems for a lot of people.”

He did however return in a cameo for the series finale in season 12, which aired in February 2015.

Shocking twist in R. Kelly saga - NEWS.com.au

A new witness has come forward with a stunning allegation in the sex-trafficking trial of the R&B singer.

After several days of testimony from women claiming they were groomed and sexually abused by R. Kelly, a man has taken the witness stand at the singer’s sex-trafficking trial to allege he exploited him in the same way when he was a high school student.

The witness, testifying in federal court in New York City on Monday without using his real name, told a jury how Kelly lured him to his Chicago-area home in 2007 with false offers of helping him with his fledgling music career.

Kelly asked the alleged victim, then 17, “what I was willing to do for music,” the witness said. He replied, “I’ll carry your bags. … Anything you need, I’ll be willing to do.”

“That’s not it. That’s not it,” he said Kelly responded before asking him if he ever fantasised about having sex with men. He described how Kelly then “crawled down on his knees and proceeded to give me oral sex,” even though, “I wasn’t into it.”

Afterwards, “he told me to keep between him and me,” he said.

In a later episode, Kelly snapped his fingers to summon a naked girl from where she was hiding under a boxing ring to give Kelly and the witness oral sex, the man told the jury.

He kept seeing Kelly after that because “I really wanted to make it in the music industry,” he said.

The witness was testifying as part of a co-operation agreement stemming from his guilty plea in a separate case alleging he was part of a botched scheme to bribe a woman to not testify against Kelly. No charges were brought against Kelly related to the scheme.

Kelly, 54, has repeatedly denied accusations that he preyed on victims during a 30-year career highlighted by his 1996 mega hit I Believe I Can Fly. His lawyers have portrayed his accusers as groupies who are lying about their relationships with him.

Earlier on Monday, a woman testified that Kelly sexually assaulted her at age 17 following a performance in Miami in 1994.

The witness, also testifying without using her real name, claimed that Kelly’s cronies took her and a friend to his dressing room after the show before he pulled down her shorts and forced her to have unprotected sex, she said.

“I was in complete shock,” she said. “I didn’t know what to say at all. I basically went blank.”

Afterwards, she and her friend “unlocked the door and ran out of there,” she said.

On cross-examination, defence lawyer Deveraux Cannick pressed the witness on why, after someone allegedly “raped you,” she waited more than two decades to contact law enforcement.

“Because I didn’t want to feel more shame and trauma,” she said.

Furious Block star’s on-camera meltdown - NEWS.com.au

Block bad boy Luke looked moments away from storming off the show completely as he demanded not to be filmed in an explosive on-set meltdown.

Fiery Block star Luke Packham blew up at producers in explosive scenes aired on Tuesday night, as the season’s ugly cheating scandal blew up.

The former Love Island contestant, who is on the show with his twin brother Josh, became embroiled in the saga after it was revealed his team had access to the show’s production schedule via an unauthorised photo taken in Scott Cam’s office and circulated among contestants.

But when pressed on who first sent the photograph, Luke wasn’t about to snitch on his accomplice — resulting in an on-set meltdown in which he swore at the camera and repeatedly demanded not to be filmed.

After winning Sunday’s master bedroom room reveal, the boys had admitted to using the leaked Block schedule to plan ahead, while flatly refusing to divulge who had clued them in on the advantage.

Eventually, Tanya and Vito were exposed as the culprits, resulting in a “highly unusual” on-camera confession in which Tanya claimed to have received the image from an anonymous texter in week one.

But before the couple came forward, Luke had kicked off at Keith and Dan for interrogating his builder Ryan during their site routine visits trying to get to the bottom of the mystery.

With Ronnie and Georgia’s builder claiming he first saw the photo on Ryan’s phone, their search had led them to house four for another round of finger pointing, coming face-to-face with an outraged Luke.

“I know what’s going on but it’s not my place to say. It’s not my place to say, Keith,” he said as the foreman tried to interrupt.

“The only name we’re hearing is Ryan, Ryan, Ryan,” a producer chimed in while Luke asked to be given “10 minutes” to sort out the drama.

As he fiercely defended his builder, cameras closed in on the group and producers stepped in to intervene.

“Don’t do it to me Dan, don’t f**cking spin this,” he started yelling as he pointed towards someone behind the camera.

“I’ve been good about this. No, I don’t want to do this in front of the camera. I’ve been f***ing good about this,” he repeated.

“It doesn’t work this way,” a producer was heard saying as Luke charged towards him with his finger pointed.

“I’m not doing this on the screen … Give me 10 minutes,” he repeated before storming off to make a phone call.

“Vito, we need to resolve this now. It’s all going to be fine, but they’re nailing me and Ryan. It just has to be resolved. We have to do it now,” Luke was heard saying.

Later, he told producers he was tipped over the edge by Keith and Dan seemingly pinning the incident on Ryan.

“It was hard to see Ryan grilled like that,” he said.

“I was upset, I’m very protective of Ryan, he’s my builder, we love Ryan, he’s like a brother to us now. At the end of the day I sent (the photo) to him so I’m feeling responsible for this.”

The confrontation eventually led to the contestant outing Tanya and Vito as the other team involved, prompting a scramble from the pair to get their story straight for cameras.

It all looks set to explode further in a body corporate meeting tomorrow night, as the teams trade vicious barbs in a screaming match.

Chris Brown blasts Kanye over album - NEWS.com.au

Chris Brown is reportedly feeling “heated” towards Kanye West after his verse in track New Again was cut from the Donda album.

Kanye’s album dropped yesterday after a delay of 13 months – and has left many of his showbiz pals feeling bitter.

The 44-year-old appears to have angered singers Chris Brown and Soulja Boy who were seemingly removed from the final cut.

Shortly after the album dropped, Brown posted a cryptic message on his official Instagram Story.

Posting just a black screen with white text, he wrote: “Kanye a h*e.*

Brown, who is the ex of Rihanna, followed it up by saying: “Nah he tweakin.”

It left many fans questioning the ‘beef’ and speculating whether the Say Goodbye star is now not a fan of the billionaire Yeezy founder.

Brown resisted going into any details and left fans to speculate, but reports have now emerged that he is “a little heated about the verse being removed” from the song.

According to The Shade Room, a close friend of Brown made the allegation.

The publication claimed: “A source close to the situation tells The Shade Room he was a little heated about his verse being removed from one of the songs on the new album.”

It is alleged Brown’s vocals were supposed to make an appearance in track 18, New Again.

On Genius, a platform that hosts lyrics, Brown is credited as singing with West for the chorus.

The chorus goes: “Thank You, thank You, thank You for Your mercy, make me new, make me new again, make me new again, make me new again, make me new again, I repent for everything that I’ma do again, make me new again, make me new again, make me new again, last night don’t count, this morning don’t count.”

West, who also goes by Ye, has since spoken out and said the album was dropped without his permission.

The rapper posted on his socials claiming that Universal published Donda “without my approval”.

He also said they “blocked Jail 2 from the album”.

West wrote: “Universal put my album out without my approval.

“And they blocked Jail 2 from being on the album.”

Rapper Soulja Boy also took a very public swipe at West – by ending their friendship after he said he was cut from a song.

He tweeted: “Idk how to feel, Kanye sent me that song ‘remote control’ and I don’t hear my verse on it. Hmm f*ck that n****.

“This n**** Kanye smh. Tell homie don’t hit my phone anymore.”

Marilyn Manson’s ex hits out - NEWS.com.au

After controversially appearing onstage at Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ event last week, Evan Rachel Wood has furiously hit out.

Evan Rachel Wood blasted her allegedly abusive ex Marilyn Manson after he appeared onstage at Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ event last week.

The Westworld star, 33, subtly called out Manson, 52, while performing a cover of New Radicals’ 1998 single You Get What You Give with her musical partner Zane Carney on Saturday at the Bourbon Room in Hollywood.

“I’ve been saving this, but it seems like the appropriate time,” she prefaced the song, which includes a reference to the embattled performer.

When Wood reached the part of the track that mentioned Manson’s name, she put up her middle finger as the crowd erupted in cheers.

She shared a clip of her performance on Instagram and addressed the shock rocker’s other alleged victims.

You get what you give,” she wrote. “For my fellow survivors who got slapped in the face this week. I love you. Don’t give up.”

The Thirteen star named Manson as her alleged abuser in February after claiming for years that she had been abused by an unnamed ex.

“He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years,” she claimed to Vanity Fair. “I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail.”

Wood is one of 15 women who have come forward to accuse the Killing Strangers singer of sexual assault or abuse. Manson has vehemently denied all the allegations, calling them “horrible distortions of reality”.

“My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth,” he wrote on Instagram in February.

West, 44, recently came under fire for inviting Manson and rapper DaBaby – who made homophobic remarks during a festival performance in July – to appear alongside him at the final listening party for his new album, Donda.

The Gold Digger singer caused even more of an uproar Sunday when Donda finally hit streaming services and included a collaboration with both Manson and DaBaby, 29, titled Jail Pt. 2.

Rising star’s sad Hollywood admission - NEWS.com.au

Canadian actress Devery Jacobs has revealed the disappointing reason why she was feeling “isolated” in the showbiz industry.

Canadian actress Devery Jacobs has revealed she was getting disillusioned with Hollywood before she scored one of the lead roles on her latest TV series.

The 23-year-old stars in Taika Waititi’s groundbreaking new show, Reservation Dogs, which is the first American TV show with an all-Native American cast.

Prior to being cast, Jacobs said she was feeling “isolated” due to a lack of representation on sets.

“In my career, I was noticing that I was feeling isolated,” Jacobs told NY Post on the phone from her Toronto home.

“I was getting used to being the only Indigenous person on set for miles, and it was lonely. I wasn’t enjoying my work as much as I previously had been.

“But then on Reservation Dogs, there was such a magic to the set. We formed such a fast family and we all really left a piece of ourselves in this work. It was an experience unlike anything I had encountered before.”

Currently airing Tuesdays on Binge in Australia, with an entirely Indigenous creative team helmed by Waititi and Sterlin Harjo, the half-hour comedy follows the lives of four teenage friends on a reservation in Oklahoma as they engage in petty hijinks (such as stealing a truck full of chips), mourn the loss of a friend, and dream about moving to California.

There’s the group’s caretaker/moral compass, Elora (Jacobs), brash leader Bear (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai), goofy Cheese (Lane Factor), and mellow Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis).

Jacobs, who’s from Kahnawake, Quebec, is Mohawk and grew up on a reserve, which is the Canadian version of a reservation. She’s the only member of her family who has left, she said.

“Every Indigenous community is different in language and culture and geographical region. That being said, because we have these similar underlying values and similar experiences, it’s something that I’ve found ends up making Reservation Dogs more of a universal show,” Jacobs said.

“My community is so proud and excited. It’s funny, because the show isn’t released in Canada yet. So, I’m pretty sure my parents are just fully watching [pirated episodes]. But they said they’ll watch it again [legitimately] once it’s available!”

Although Bear is the group’s leader onscreen, Jacobs is the industry vet among the show’s central quartet, with a resume including American Gods, The Order and Rutherford Falls.

“In my culture being Mohawk, we’re matriarchal. We’ll appoint chiefs and leaders but the clan mothers are the true leaders behind the scenes,” she said. “I feel like there’s a bit of that dynamic happening with Elora and Bear.”

Stream Reservation Dogs on Binge from August 10. New customers get a 14-day free trial and start streaming instantly. Sign up at binge.com.au

That extended behind the scenes too, she said, as the actors playing the four friends grew close.

“I will say though, that we are all experiencing this together. Even though I’ve been working for longer, I’ve never seen a time in the industry where Indigenous voices have been so celebrated,” Jacobs said.

“It’s almost a little jarring, I’ve been fighting and working for all of my career for representation that is true and authentic and accurate for Indigenous stories and creators.

“The jarring part is that the Rez accent that I was told I needed to lose in order to be successful, or the Mohawk-isms that I was encouraged to get rid of, are now all the things that are making our show successful.

“All of the things that made me Indigenous that were considered a negative in the industry are now something that’s being celebrated.

“It’s overdue, and I’m so happy to be part of it and see that necessary change.”

Sharon Stone’s immense family tragedy - NEWS.com.au

Days after telling fans she needed “a miracle,” Sharon Stone has confirmed the death of her baby nephew in tragic circumstances.

The nephew of actress Sharon Stone has died after Stone revealed last week the 11-month-old was found in his cot with total organ failure.

“River William Stone. Sept 8, 2020 – Aug 30, 2021,” the 63-year-old actress shared via Twitter on Monday. She accompanied the in-memoriam with a one-minute video showing the happy child smiling, laughing and moving about playfully – his bright blue eyes peering into the camera as his feet are tickled and teased.

This new family tragedy comes after Stone last year lost her grandmother and godmother to coronavirus, which also affected several other members of her family.

Earlier, Stone posted to Instagram that River, who was also the actress’ godson, needed “a miracle” in order to pull through.

“My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w total organ failure today. Please pray for him. We need a miracle,” she captioned an Instagram post of River in the hospital with devices hooked up to him.

At the time, actress Kate Hudson reacted to the news in the comments section. “Sending light and healing love,” she said, while actress Ruby Rose wrote, “Praying for River and your whole family.”

Meanwhile, other celebs shared their thoughts as well. TV personality Sharon Osbourne penned, “Bless him, sending so much love and prayer.”

River is Stone‘s brother’s son and was born in September 2020. Almost one year ago, she celebrated his birth on social media writing, “Look who’s going home: River William Stone, my brother Patrick and his wife Tasha’s new baby.”

Stone has three sons of her own: Roan, 21, Laird, 16, and Quinn, 15. She previously said during a speech at the Marie Claire Power Trip that being a single parent takes “work and time and years and effort”.

“Motherhood didn’t come easily, but it came lovingly to me by angels,” Stone said. ”We’re a happy and lucky family. That is the credo we stand for.”

Stone last year offered fans a grim warning as coronavirus ravaged her own family, revealing she had already lost both her grandmother and godmother to the virus and that her sister Kelly Stone and sister’s husband Bruce were “fighting for their lives” in a Montana hospital as they both battled coronavirus. Both later recovered.

Kim Kardashian deletes Instagram post about Kanye West's Donda | news.com.au — Australia's leading news site - NEWS.com.au

Kim Kardashian tried to promote Kanye West’s new album, Donda, on her Instagram story - but she made an embarrassing mistake.

Kim Kardashian was busted for listening to estranged husband Kanye West’s new album, Donda, on mute.

The KKW Beauty founder, 40, posted screengrabs of the album playing on her iPhone — specifically Hurricane, Donda, Lord I Need You and OK OK, Pt. 2 — with the volume turned all the way down. Fans of course, quickly noticed this detail and immediately began calling her out on social media.

“Kim really said kanye’s music sounds [so much] better when it’s on mute,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Kim Kardashian posting screenshots of her listening to kanye’s new album on MUTE is taking me out,” another joked.

Kardashian has since deleted the muted grabs and reuploaded new ones with the volume turned up.

But the damage was already done. Internet trolls seized the opportunity to roast Kimye, with one suggesting: “That’s what Kanye did during the course of their marriage: listen to Kim on mute.”

“Yes Kim, that’s exactly how Kanye’s songs should be heard, on mute,” someone else tweeted.

Kardashian’s muting snafu comes two days after she shocked fans by appearing in a wedding gown at West’s listening event on Friday in Chicago.

The couple appeared to “remarry” as Ye’s No Child Left Behind played in the background. Not only did the stunt spark reconciliation rumours, but the estranged pair were later seen holding hands while leaving the venue.

West is even telling his music industry friends that he and Kim are back together, a source told Page Six exclusively on Sunday.

However, the source said that “everybody knows that isn’t true” and alleged West is “putting on a big show” so he can beat Drake in record sales.

Rita criticises Jess’ decision on The Voice - NEWS.com.au

During the final round of the ‘Knockouts’ Rita slams Jess’ song choice, causing an extremely awkward moment between the coaches.

It’s the second round of the ‘Knockouts’ and Jess Mauboy’s team is going head to head against Rita Ora’s team.

Having to send three of their team members home before the end of the night, everything rides on these performances.

For each performance, the coaches choose the songs, and one song Jess Mauboy chose for her singer, Sean Miley Moore, was not a hit with Rita Ora. Nor with Keith Urban.

Singing Lonely by Justin Bieber, some coaches didn’t think it was the right choice.

Guy was the first to criticise.

“Personally I feel like there’s another gear you needed to get into. I was waiting for this rapturous moment and this moment of uninhibited emotion. I feel like I was wanting a little more desperation to really go ‘Oh my gosh I need to get out of my chair.’ That’s what was missing for me.”

Rita agreed: “I feel like this wasn’t the right song for him. I love his theatrical side. He should have shown his power, he should have shown his strength and he should have been really who Sean Miley Moore is. I have a history with Sean. He was on a show in the UK that I was on, and I watched him blossom and find himself I would love to see him one last time.”

Jess, looking livid, couldn’t hide the emotion on her face when Rita criticised her song choice.

“I don’t know if that’s made it hard for you,” she tells Jess.

“Yes! It’s made it very difficult,” an angered Jess remarks.

During the Blind Auditions, Sean sang The Prayer and Jess ‘blocked’ Rita from having Sean on her team, a move that frustrated Rita to a large extent.

Now, it seemed like that tension came to a head between Rita and Jess.

Sending Sean to the waiting room, Jess admits she needs to hear her other performers sing before she can make her final decision.

In the end, Jess sent Sean home and took on Ella and Mick through to the Semi Finals.

For Rita, she chose girl band G-Nation and Sian, sending home the likes of Hamilah Kyrgios, tennis legend Nick Kyrgios’ sister.

Block’s extreme reaction to cheating saga - NEWS.com.au

Scott Cam has made a drastic, never-before-seen move in response to an explosive cheating scandal on The Block unfolding this week.

The Block host Scott Cam has erupted after it was revealed contestants Luke and Josh used a stolen photo of the production schedule to secure their first win of the season.

The bad boy twins won Sunday’s master bedroom and walk-in robe room reveal, but aggrieved competitors Ronnie and Georgia called them out for cheating, with the scandal further unfurling in Monday’s episode.

While the twins have now admitted to playing dirty, prompting Scott Cam to furiously intervene, the original source of the sneaky image is yet to be unveiled.

Meanwhile, the contestants are still reeling over Josh and Luke’s win, with a post-judging walk-through resulting in widespread confusion over how they beat Ronnie and Georgia’s stunning offering.

“I’m really confused what that room … how did that win, seriously,” said Vito.

“It was the worst painted room I’ve seen this season,” Ronnie said, while Kirsty weighed in: “Judge’s are off their chops.”

Not only had the brothers been praised for their styling – for which they had a hand in from Luke’s fiance Olivia — they were also commended for taking the risk of building their bedroom on the dedicated garage space.

Across the episode, however, furious couple Ronnie and Georgia had claimed the only reason the boys had the foresight to push plans through council to switch their garage space around was because they knew master bedroom week was looming, all thanks to the schedule leak.

“Josh, Luke and their builder Ryan come to ours, and I think they're a couple of bevvies deep, and they show us a photo,” Georgia recalled, to which Ronnie clarified that they only looked “for like three seconds.”

“And what was on that photo was the whole production schedule plus the challenge schedule … someone has broken in to Scotty’s office and taken that photo. Basically, they have this information which is a massive advantage,” the couple explained, with Ronnie declaring that all their points from day one should be stripped.

After venting their frustrations to production, Ronnie and Georgia confronted the pair, resulting in an ugly clash.

The Block is the biggest game in Australia, so for somebody to have the full schedule knowing what each week is going to be, plus the challenges, is the biggest cheating scandal in TV history,” Ronnie dramatically put to the boys.

“Shut up Hollywood, it’s bullsh*t mate, you’re talking f****ing rubbish,” yelled Luke.

“You guys had this knowledge too, your builder had this knowledge, it’s only been since you’ve had this bad loss that you’ve gone ‘well hang on this is unfair’,” he put back on the couple.

“We didn’t want any part of it, we said to our builder we don’t want any part of this, we wanna play truthfully and honestly … I don’t want to get kicked off the show for cheating,” Georgia responded.

Conceding that he had cheated to get the win, Luke told producers that “others cheated too,” revealing that he received the photo in a text message presumably from another contestant, who he refused to name.

But before any further advantages could be taken, Scott Cam stepped in to ensure the existing schedule was scrapped.

“Part of the challenge contestants face is having to start a new room from scratch every Monday and deliver it by the following Sunday,” he explained,

“Anyone with a copy of the schedule basically gains 12 weeks of pre-planning, and would be ready to hit the ground running on every single room.”

Calling Ronnie, Georgia, Luke and Josh into his office where the offending schedule was snapped, Cam gave the teams a scolding.

“You’ve only ever seen this on a photograph haven’t you? Now you’ve got it for real.

“It’s every room reveal and challenge and it’s all been set out here so you guys can deliver a house and I can make a TV show. But take a really good look at it right now because here it is for one minute and now, it’s gone,” he said, erasing the whiteboard.

“There is going to be no schedule. It’s all changed from here,” he told them.

Explaining what it means going forward, the host told the full cast during the ‘winners are grinners’ dinner that after the “unbelievable” incident, things were going to be much harder on The Block.

“Just for all of you to know, that production schedule is now gone and we’re doing a hard reset.

“At the end of the day ultimately who’s going to pay the price is you guys and your builders.

“That schedule was meticulously planned with lots of meetings with Keith and Dan and myself and our building teams to make sure we stayed ahead of you guys, to make sure you had a roof over the space that you were building, and to make sure the suppliers and sponsors had all the gear ready to go into the room that you were doing this week.”

“But now it’s all gone hasn’t it,” he said, warning: “Now I’m just going to pick a random room each week and you guys are going to have to deliver it, so good luck with that.”

In a further twist to the scandal — one team stayed suspiciously quiet during the drama, with Georgia now convinced bubbly ‘faves’ Tania and Vito know more than they’re letting on.

The Block continues Tuesday night from 7.30 on Channel 9

Kristen Bell’s shock claim amid bathing debate - NEWS.com.au

After weeks of people debating Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard’s controversial bathing techniques, the star has put a stop to it all.

Kristen Bell said she “lost a lot of faith in the human race” after a joke she made about bathing her kids sent Hollywood hygiene into the toilet bowl.

“I thought, ‘America is not gonna dig deep into this and want all the intel on how often people bathe, right?’ Because there are much more important topics,” the actress, 41, told Entertainment TonightThursday.

“But it was kind of funny when, like, we started being asked about it and then the interviewers didn’t even know that Dax’s podcast was the one that started the questions. And by the way, a room full of four comedians — Dax, Monica Padman, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis — who were ‘joking’ about bathing, and then the world took it seriously.”

The great bathing debate began in July when Kunis, 37, said on Shepard, 46, and Padman’s Armchair Expert podcast that she didn’t wash her children every day, with Kutcher, 43, remarking, “If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

Bell and Shepard then appeared on The View and joked that they wait for their daughters, Lincoln, 8, and Delta, 6, “to stink” before bathing them.

“Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up,” the Veronica Mars star said. “There’s a red flag. Honestly, it’s just bacteria. Once you get bacteria, you gotta be like, ‘Get in the tub or the shower.’”

The Parenthood actor then chimed in, “We bathed our children every single night prior to bed as their routine, then somehow they just started going to sleep on their own without their routine, and we had to start saying [to each other], like, ‘Hey, when was the last time you bathed them?’”

While Bell admitted to ET Thursday that she has “bad hygiene,” she cannot get over the fact that her previous comments caused such an uproar.

“I think people maybe need a little bit of a lesson of what is a joke and what is not,” she griped. “Because now people are acting like this is an actual Supreme Court case.”

She concluded, “I think it’s on the listener to deduce whether or not it’s a joke, to be honest.”

James Corden roasted online over stunt - NEWS.com.au

Cinderella stars James Corden and Camila Cabello stars have been roasted on Twitter for taking part in a viral stunt.

The stars of Amazon’s upcoming ‘Cinderella’ remake are getting roasted on social media after they reportedly stopped traffic in Los Angeles for a flash mob in an apparent effort to promote the movie.

The film will mark singer Camila Cabello’s debut acting role as she takes on the fairytale character who defies her evil stepsisters and engages in some hijinx involving a ball, a slipper and magic. However, an apparent viral marketing campaign for the movie in Los Angeles caught the attention of social media for all the wrong reasons.

James Corden, Billy Porter, Idina Menzel and Cabello were recorded closing out an intersection in Los Angeles as they and a handful of backup dancers sang along and danced to Jennifer Lopez’s Let’s Get Loud.

In a video posted by one of the cars that were stopped for the event, the group of stars can be seen jumping for joy and singing in costumes that look plucked directly from the upcoming film. Corden, dressed as a mouse, at one point goes up to the driver’s side window and thrusts his pelvis as he sings the chorus of the song.

It’s unclear if this was a viral promotion for the film or a bit that will appear on Corden’s Late Late Show on CBS. However, those who saw the video online were quick to take to social media to lambaste the group for the stunt.

“America, you’re welcome to keep Corden. Yours, Great Britain,” one user joked.

“It would have been great if you didn’t block traffic to promote your movies. Some people aren’t privileged and lucky enough to get fame and money and have to go to work to make ends meet,” another user wrote.

“I am officially scarred by James Corden doing hip thrusts. I will never be able to listen to this song the same way ever again,” someone else joked.

“Imagine having a terrible day and then on ur way home ur forced to watch camila cabello and james corden dance right in front of u..this would sent me over the edge,” another wrote.

“That video of camilla (sic) cabello and james corden stopping traffic to promote Cinderella is bonkers. I can 100 per cent guarantee you if james corden walks up to my window and starts hip thrusting I’m going to jail,” someone else added.

As Elle notes, production on Cinderella has been over for a while, but like many movies in 2020 saw their release date waylaid by the coronavirus pandemic out of fear of opening to a limited audience. It has since landed at Amazon Prime Video where users will be able to stream it right in their homes starting on September 3, 2021.

New TV show so fun it’ll make you giddy - NEWS.com.au

With an amazing cast and an irresistible premise, you’ll lap up every moment of this new streaming series.

Quick question. Do you like fun?

Of course, you do! You’re not a sadist (not to kink-shame sadists or anything).

Created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, playful caper Only Murders in the Building is so fantastically fun, you’ll be as giddy as an 11-year-old girl who just mastered the double hula hoop.

And if you already like cosy, parlour room mysteries, then Only Murders in the Building is going to make you feel like you were a saint in a past life. You must’ve done something right.

Featuring the unlikely but genius combination of Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, the series is set in a ritzy Manhattan apartment complex inspired by those grand dames of Upper West Side New York City co-op living, the Dakota or the Apthorp.

But a stunning central courtyard and gothic architectural features doesn’t stop a murder being committed under the venerated roof of the fictional Arconia.

When a young man named Tim Kono is found dead in his apartment, the police think it’s a suicide – and why not, he left a succinct note on his computer suggesting it was. But Charles (Martin), Oliver (Short) and Mabel (Gomez) aren’t buying it.

The three neighbours are all fans of a Serial-esque podcast produced by the show’s version of Sarah Koenig, a host played by Tina Fey who makes a delicious guest appearance in a later episode.

Their obsession with true crime has fuelled their imagination, convinced that Kono was murdered and one of the Arconia residents did it. So, as you do, they set out to do their own investigation, and launch their own podcast in the process.

The podcast aspect of it works as parody within the larger homage to the detective fiction genre, and the tonal tightrope walk between the two is impressive.

The closed house-type setting of the Arconia narrows down the pool of suspects to its oddball residents, among them a cat-loving neighbour, the hummus king of New York (Nathan Lane) and musical superstar Sting (as himself).

But as much as these eccentrics delight, the 10-episode series’ strength is in the core trio.

And as much as the show is about this amateur sleuthing adventure, it’s also a smart story about loneliness in a packed city of almost 9 million people. Being surrounded by people doesn’t mean you have any meaningful connections.

Charles is a has-been TV star who once starred in a network crime procedural while Oliver is a hustling theatre producer who hasn’t worked in a long time. Mabel is an unfocused artist who is whiling away time renovating her aunt’s apartment.

None of them are misanthropes or unpleasant people, but it’s just the quirks of life that sometimes you’re alone. But just because they’ve found a common purpose, it doesn’t mean it’s not without kinks, especially for three people who fear being hurt.

How that relationship develops – and it’s at different speeds even between them – is the emotional core of a series that probably could’ve have gotten away with not bothering.

Of course, we know Short and Martin are a formidable onscreen pairing – and you’d be astonished at how well the Father of the Bride movies hold up – but the surprise is how seamlessly Gomez slots in with her older co-stars.

Gomez’s drollness is a great match to her more broad and physical comedy co-stars while her asides in injecting a young person’s perspective on things feels natural and not spotlighted and smug.

If there’s anything to fault about the series, it’s that each episode’s voiceover narration changes from character-to-character, and that’s a mixed bag. Some episodes are framed by outsiders such as a podcast fan or Fey’s host and Only Murders in the Building doesn’t do all the work in making those peripheral characters as dynamic or interesting.

Then other times, it works really well, such as the episode that’s anchored by deaf character Theo (James Caverly), and his episode is entirely wordless.

But sometimes you wonder if that POV-switcheroo doesn’t work as well as it should because the main characters are just so strong and all you want to do is be in their presence instead.

Only Murders in the Building, which will debut three episodes on the first day before shifting to a weekly release, is exactly the kind of compulsive storytelling that you want to devour while sitting under a cosy blanket.

Ooh, what exhilarating fun!

Only Murders in the Building is on Disney+ from Tuesday, August 31

The Block: Viewers have had enough of Luke and Josh's rule breaking | news.com.au — Australia's leading news site - NEWS.com.au

The Block promises ‘the biggest cheating scandal in TV history’ this week, but viewers already have a problem with how the season has played out.

The Block viewers have had enough of one team getting off scot-free after multiple apparent instances of cheating.

Aside from being embroiled in ‘the biggest cheating scandal in TV history’ set to play out this week, former Love Island stars Luke and Josh have broken three major rules in as many weeks without any consequences – even, to the frustration of viewers, winning master bedroom week on Sunday.

In the same episode, the two were accused of having access to the show’s schedule ahead of time in a series-first for the show.

But it’s just one in a series of rules the boys have bent — and seemingly the only one judges have cared about.

During episode one, Luke and Josh unapologetically broke the show’s “golden rule” by using their tradies to paint.

As Scott Cam pointed out during the episode, rule number one in the “Block Bible” is that contestants must do their own painting.

Fellow contestant Kirsty had pointed this out to the boys, but they were reluctant to cease.

“I guess Keith and Dan would come along and tell you that if they were here,” Kirsty was seen telling the boys, to which Luke hit back: “Well they’re not here, maybe you should go and get your trades to help you paint while they’re not here.”

Fuming, he added to the camera: “There’s dibber dobbers and there’s others who look the other way … but obviously they’re competitive and they want to win. That’s the way she wants to play it, we’ll remember it and that’s fine.”

Viewers were quick to call them out on social media, pointing out that any regular Block fan would be aware of the rule.

In week two, they sparked outrage again after leaving the site for an all-nighter, later explaining they merely spent the night in a hotel after a few drinks at the pub because their basement was flooded.

But an on-site breath test told a different story — with the twins ordered to sleep off their hangover until they sobered up.

As foremans Dan and Keith pointed out during the episode, sneaking off to stay in a hotel (breaking another of the Block’s big rules, according to Scott Cam)— instantly put them at an unfair advantage against the rest of the contestants, roughing it in tents on a construction site.

But the twins scored no penalty and finished the week in a close second place, with nothing but some playful scolding from host Scott Cam.

Strike three was on Sunday’s episode, which saw contestants stunned to discover Luke had enlisted the help of his fiance to style their master bedroom after being slammed for their “atrocious” efforts the week prior.

While Luke was asked several times how much help they had in setting up the room, he insisted his fiance had no say in the final product.

But when it came to the room reveal, his assurance was hard to believe by comparison to last week’s bathroom styling.

Compare the pair:

The feminine touch clearly helped, with the brothers scooping up the win for week three, gaining praise for their walk-in robe design and the risky move of building on the designated garage space despite objection from The Block’s architect.

On social media, viewers weren’t having a bar of it.

“So hang on.. you can break 2 rules in one week, yet no punishment/repercussions? Right …,” one baffled viewer said.

“They have let them get away with 3 cheats now …,” another asserted.

One wrote: “Why do the twins even show up at all? Its clear they’re allowed to break whatever rules they want, so why not just contract metricon homes or something to do it all for them & only show up for room reveal night?”

While another said they were ‘gobsmacked’.

“What I just am gobsmacked by is how many things those twins have cheated on and yet never been punished for?? Keith Dan and Scotty don’t even care. Why? That’s what I want to know bc in past years they’d be off the block or severely punished. This year’s BS.”

According to Channel 9, contestants are given a list of rules for appearing on the show. These are the same rules that have existed throughout The Block’s 17-season history, including:

No help from any outside designer.

All painting must be done by contestants.

All trades must be paid the award rate.

All trades must be inducted.

No more than 50 per cent discount on any trades goods.

No working ahead.

No power tools after tools down.

No power tools on Sunday or public holidays.

Contestants must hire their own trades.

As it stands, Luke and Josh have already broken at least two, apparently with more to come.

After winning their first room on Sunday, fuming fourth-place stars Ronnie and Georgia dropped the bombshell that in addition to the styling help last week, they’d also had access to the program schedule.

“I guess it helps to cheat,” said Ronnie.

“It’s amazing that you know exactly the full schedule of what rooms are coming up, they know when the challenge days are coming up … so I guess it helps to cheat. That’s great, beautiful,” Ronnie said sarcastically as Georgia begged, “Don’t go there.”

His comment prompted the producer to ask: “Do you think they’ve found out some way?”

“They’ve known from day one,” Ronnie responded.

“So you really think they boys have found out?,” the producer pressed.

“Mate, I don’t f**ing really think, I know for a fact,” the furious reality star shot back.

Viewers shared Ronnie’s frustration, with one writing on Twitter: “If it turns out that the twins did in fact know in advance what rooms were coming up, and they dont get kicked off the show, im literally not going to watch this season anymore because it‘s transparently clear ch9 is rigging it for them.”

News.com.au has reached out to Channel 9 for comment.

The Block continues tonight from 7.30 on Channel 9.
