Two major new TV series will make their Australian debut on BINGE in the coming months, it’s been announced this week.
Kate Winslet’s new TV project Mare of Easttown will premiere on the platform on April 19.
Created and written by Brad Ingelsby (The Way Back) and directed by Craig Zobel (The Leftovers), the seven-part limited series follows Winslet as Mare Sheehan, a small-town Pennsylvania detective who investigates a local murder as life crumbles around her.
The show reunites Aussie Guy Pearce with Winslet a decade after they starred together in acclaimed HBO miniseries Mildren Pierce. The cast also features Julianne Nicholson (The Outsider), Jean Smart (Watchmen) and fellow Aussie Angourie Rice (Black Mirror).
Exploring the dark side of a close community, Mare of Easttown delves into how family and past tragedies can define the present.
Before that, though, an exciting new project executive produced by Girls star and creator Lena Dunham will premiere on BINGE.
Eight-part drama series Genera+ion drops on March 11, promising a dark yet playful look at a group of high school students whose exploration of modern sexuality – devices and all – puts their conservative community to the test. conservative community.
BINGE will premiere weekly double episodesof the half-hour series which sees Dunham in collaboration with Daniel and Ben Barnz, and their teenage daughter, Zelda Barnz as they explore the authentic lives of modern-day teenagers.
