Shania Twain has faced backlash on social media over her performance at the UK festival Glastonbury.
The country-pop star played on the final day of the Worthy Farm event, drawing huge crowds following headline sets from Dua Lipa and Coldplay on Friday and Saturday.
Unfortunately, despite performing some of her biggest hits, Twain’s set sadly didn’t seem to go down well with many viewers who were watching from the comfort of their living rooms.
Twain’s show seemed to be impacted by technical issues, as she was seen fiddling with her in-ears and her mic pack during the first two songs.
On top of the sound issues, many took to social media to lash out at the quality of Twain’s vocal performance throughout her set.
“Should she be on stage (right now)? People pay LOTS of money to go to Glasto, maybe they should manage the bookings a little more carefully, this isn’t fit for purpose,” commented one fan.
“If you’re voice isn’t up to it, then retire gracefully & live off the millions you’ve already earned,” said a second fan. “Not just her voice but it’s a boring set – the legend slot should be a party, not a snooze fest.”
A third viewer remarked: “She is trying her best that’s for sure but the backing band is way too loud especially the bass and she is struggling.”
Others said the star also appeared to forget her own lyrics, saying: “Understand if after having surgery the voice will not be as it was but don’t accept the slot if you don’t feel right. That does not excuse the timing issues, forgetting the next song or lyrics.”
“It’s so sad to see her like this,” shared another. “Why does Shania Twain sound awful at Glasto? She’s really struggling. This is absolutely dreadful”.

Twain has tragically suffered with Lyme disease for years, and she previously revealed it had impacted the nerves on her vocal chords.
As a result, she was forced to undergo surgery in a bid to save her voice and bring it back to what it once was.
At one point she told Huff Post that she had grown fearful that she might “never sing again,” however thankfully the surgery proved a success and Twain has since gone on to continue making albums and performing live.
