Radhika Merchant looked straight out of a fairytale in a red and white lehenga designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for her wedding with Anant Ambani on July 12. Her wedding ensemble is a traditional interpretation of ‘Panetar’, which is a Gujarati tradition of brides wearing red and white.
Ethereal is the word for Radhika as she stunned in the ivory ensemble featuring exquisite zardozi cutwork. The ensemble consisted of a trailing ghagra layered with a second detachable trail, a 5-meter head veil and a tissue dupatta.

The ghagra, featuring three borders of red, was adorned with the finest naqshi, saadi and zardozi work. The hand-embroidered intricate floral booties on the ensemble were decorated with stones, sequins, tamba tikkis and a touch of red resham, as described by the designers in their post.
Radhika’s veil was made of delicate jaali and cutwork while the trail on the other hand featured extensive zardozi work. “The outfit is complete with a fully embroidered red shoulder dupatta that uplifts the silhouette with its maximal drama,” Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla said.
With royal jewels and subtle makeup, Radhika rounded off her wedding look.

Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani will get married at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Their ‘Shubh Vivaah’ will be followed by 'Shubh Aashirwad' on July 13 and 'Mangal Utsav' or the wedding reception on July 14. Another reception party will be held on July 15 as well, in Mumbai.
