Molly Meldrum has been caught on camera exposing himself again — this time at a Rod Stewart concert in Melbourne.
The former Countdown star can be seen seated, with his penis exposed and appearing to urinate on the floor in footage obtained by Daily Mail.
The disturbing incident comes after Meldrum was forced to apologise for ‘mooning’ fans at an Elton John concert in January. At the time he said his belt was to blame for his pants falling down. But it followed a similar incident at the Chillout Festival in Daylesford the year before which many had written off as an attempt at comedy.
The TV legend, who recently celebrated his 8oth birthday, fell from a ladder in 2011 and suffered a severe head injury which, combined with his alcohol intake, is believed to be behind his “lapses in judgement”.
On Tuesday, hours after the latest video emerged, entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Seven’s The Morning Show that people around Meldrum were ”very concerned and frustrated”.
“He had been taken to the toilet on several occasions during the show, this was at the very end of the night and it is a big exercise at those arenas to get up and down the stairs and get someone to go to the loo and so this has happened,” Ford said.
“It’s a bad look, it’s a bad look and what this does is it is beginning to negate Molly’s legacy which is decades of great support to the Australian music industry.
“In this case there is nothing humorous about it. It’s yucky, I mean someone has to go and clean that up and without going all gross someone could slip and injure themselves as well.
“At the Olivia Newton John Memorial a few weeks ago he was there and he was a perfect gentleman, as 99 per cent of the time he is. But there are lapses of judgement that do stem back to the fact that he has an acquired brain injury and so his judgement is severely impaired and if that is factored into the fact if he is consuming alcohol it is even more impaired.
“So it is a less than ideal situation and I know that people around Molly who are close to him are very concerned and frustrated.”
Actor Samuel Johnson — who won a Gold Logie for his portrayal of Meldrum in a Channel Seven limited series — raised concerns about who was looking after Meldrum following the Elton John incident.
“Who are his minders? Is he okay? Who are his minders? He shouldn’t be allowed out in the pm, he’s sozzled by that time. He has two shots of vodka in his coffee in the morning. If I want to make any sense out of him I have to see him by midday,” an emotional Johnson said on The Project.
“Stop Molly, stop.”
