The Platinum Jubilee weekend has commenced with the traditional Trooping the Colour parade.
The Queen has also attended a beacon lighting ceremony, but the Palace has confirmed the 96-year-old monarch will sit out Saturday’s events because she’s experiencing “discomfort”.
Massive crowds poured into London to witness the first day of the Platinum Jubilee as the Queen marks her 70-year reign with a four-day celebration.
On the balcony of Buckingham Palace, the Queen was seen with a walking stick for support and was joined by her cousin, Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent.
Prince Charles and Prince William led the parade alongside Princess Anne.
