Prince Andrew's ex-girlfriend has alleged the notorious photo of the Duke, Virginia Giuffre and Ghislaine Maxwell was photoshopped as she questioned the timing of the out-of-court settlement.
Prince Andrew's ex-girlfriend Lady Victoria Hervey has accused sexual assault victim Virginia Giuffre of being a "scam artist" after she claimed to have lost the original photo of her standing with the Duke of York.
Her claims come just hours after Andrew's and Ms Giuffre's lawyers filed a joint letter to the US District Court on Tuesday after reaching an out-of-court settlement.
Lady Victoria Hervey, 44, alleged the notorious photo of Prince Andrew and Ms Giuffre, with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell smiling behind them, was photoshopped.
She said Ms Giuffre was "unable to keep up with her ever changing stories" and found the timing of the settlement very suspicious.
"She suddenly wanted to settle very fast when all the truth was coming out. Her lawyers must have panicked!!" she posted on Instagram on Wednesday.
"The only thing she deserves is a prison cell full of rats."
The 44-year-old socialite went on to share several versions of the photo including one where Maxwell was standing alone, an annotated version questioning why there was a black outline around Ms Giuffre and sharp corners around Andrew's buttocks.
Ms Giuffre claimed to have lost the original photo after Andrew's legal team asked for access so its authenticity can be evaluated.
"No one on Giuffre's legal team knows where it is or, indeed, has ever seen the original of the photograph, which Andrew has long alleged is not authentic," The Daily Beast revealed on Tuesday.
One insider on Ms Giuffre's side told The Daily Beast they didn't even know if the original picture "still existed".
But Ms Giuffre gave a detailed account of the night the photo was taken at Maxwell's London apartment in March 10, 2001.
She said she had been at Tramp nightclub in central London with Prince Andrew, Maxwell and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein where the Duke bought her a drink and asked her to dance.
"He is the most hideous dancer I've ever seen in my life," she told BBC's Panorama interview in 2019. "His sweat was like it was raining basically everywhere."
"In the car Ghislaine tells me that I have to do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey and that just made me sick."
Ms Giuffre said she's aware people are coming forward with allegations the photo was doctored, but there's only one person telling the truth.
"The people on the inside are going to keep coming up with these ridiculous excuses like his arm was elongated or the photo was doctored," she told the BBC in 2019.
"I'm calling BS on this. He knows what happened, I know what happened. And there's only one of us telling the truth."
The Duke of York has repetitively denied allegations he forced Ms Giuffre to have sex with him on three occasions between 2000 and 2002.
The 38-year-old alleged she was coerced into sexual encounters with the Duke on three occasions between 2000 and 2002 - at Maxwell's home in London, during a visit to Epstein's private island Little St James and in the US Virgin Islands.
On Tuesday, the Duke and Ms Giuffre's lawyers filed a joint letter to the United States district court saying both parties had reached a "settlement in principle".
According to court documents, Andrew "regrets" his association with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and intends to make a "substantial donation" to Ms Giuffre's charity "in support of victims' rights".
