Actor Jeremy Bulloch, who played Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy, has died aged 75.
A statement on Bulloch's website said he died peacefully in a London hospital on Thursday local time following health complications, including several years living with Parkinson's disease.
His wife of more than 50 years, Maureen, and two of his sons, Jamie and Robbie, were with him when he died.
Bulloch was best known for his portrayal of the bounty hunter Boba Fett in two of the original three Star Wars films, The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi.
Boba Fett continues to be one of the franchise's most-popular characters despite his reasonably minor role in the films.
In recent years, the role has been played by New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, and Daniel Logan in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
While Bulloch was inside the suit in the original trilogy, the voice of Boba Fett came from actor Jason Wingreen, who died in 2015.
Wingreen's voice was dubbed over in remastered versions of the films with that of Morrison's for reasons of story continuity with the prequel films.
