2020 has been a pretty terrible year for everyone –– just ask Pink.
The 41-year-old singer revealed on Instagram yesterday that she's fractured her ankle –– after already battling COVID and a staph infection earlier this year.
"As if surviving covid wasn't enough for this poop sandwich of a year!," Pink captioned a photo of herself wearing a face mask in a hospital room while giving a thumbs-up.
"Well, I got my stitches out from drying that wine glass, that went well. Then I recovered from my very first staph infection for no reason (cry for help?) (right knee was lonely?) so I thought I'd fracture my ankle!"
"Later tonight I'm gonna climb inside a raw chicken and see if I can't check out what salmonella's like! 2020 is the gift that keeps on giving," she joked.
And how did she fracture her ankle?
"I was actually running down the stairs trying to see the Christmas star!," she wrote. "Ha! Turns out it's not until the 21st. Happy holidays everyone! Who wants a Negroni!"
Back in April, the 'Just Give Me a Reason' singer revealed that her and her 3-year-old son both had been diagnosed with the coronavirus. Her husband, Corey Hart, said that it was an "intense" experience.
"They both got extremely sick," Hart said in an interview. "My son probably got the worst of the two of them. My wife [Pink] got it pretty bad as well. She has asthma, and it attacked her lung and chest. She was having a hard time breathing."
On Instagram, Pink said: "There were many nights when I've cried and I've never prayed more in my life," Pink said. "It's funny, but at one point, I thought they promised us our kids would be OK. It's not guaranteed. There is no one that is safe from this."
Pink has had a shocker of 2020 –– as well as COVID, her staph infection, and a cut from a broken wine glass, her father has also been fighting prostate cancer.
Earlier this year, the singer posted about him finishing his second round of chemotherapy. "He just finished his second round of chemo for prostate cancer, fell off a ladder and fractured his back, lost function in his legs," Pink wrote on Instagram.
Sounds like the family has had a tough year, but here's hoping everything mends quickly and has a much better 2021.
