Following the finale of The Flight Attendant, HBO has announced that it will be renewing the series starring Kaley Cuoco.
Streaming on Binge, the eight-episode dramady thriller attracted plenty of positive reviews for Cuoco in one of her first major project since the end of The Big Bang Theory.
Cuoco, who plays the lead character of boozy flight attendant Cassie Bowden, responded to the news on Instagram, thanking everyone for their support.

Sharing a shocked-face photo of herself from the show, the actress wrote: “My reaction to the news of a @flightattendantonmax season 2 pick up omggggggg THANK YOU EVERYONE THAT HELPED ME TURN THIS DREAM INTO REALITY who’s ready for more?!!?”
The show is based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel of the same name and Cuoco’s own production company Yes, Norman Productions helped executive produce the series.
Cuoco and playwright Steve Yokey, who adapted the novel into the popular drama, have both admitted that while The Flight Attendant was originally designed to be a limited series, they wanted to do more with it.

During the very first episode, Cassie – a flight attendant who drinks too much – wakes up from a big night with a rich passenger, only to find him murdered in the hotel bed.
The series goes on to follow Cassie who sets out to solve the murder, nearly getting herself killed in the process.
Speaking to News Corp recently about the show, Cuoco explained how the series is actually quite light, despite it being a murder mystery.
“We’re literally living those dark times,” she explains. “That’s why I love the show. Yes, we obviously have some dark things happen, but there is levity. We’re not trying to, like, change the world. We’re just trying to entertain you.
“There are great episodes (that) just let you have a little bit of fun and maybe laugh a little bit, dare I say, laugh a little bit at a drama. That’s all I want to do. I just want to entertain.”
The Flight Attendant has a great supporting cast led by Zosia Mamet as Annie, Cassie’s bestie and a mob lawyer, plus T.R. Knight, Michelle Gomez, Rosie Perez and Bebe Neuwirth.
