Lisa Wilkinson has thrown her two cents in about Meghan Markle’s newest venture on Tuesday night’s episode of The Project.
The Duchess of Sussex, 39, has personally invested in a Californian female-founded business which makes superfood lattes.
Small start-up business Clevr Blends produce instant coffee sachets including chai, matcha, coffee and turmeric lattes, with a focus on wellness.
Meghan was the first high-profile celebrity to spruik the brand, as well as neighbour, billionaire Oprah Winfrey, who uploaded a video on Instagram of herself making the drink.
But Wilkinson, 60, had some thoughts about this new venture while hosting The Project, claiming she admires Meghan’s intentions, but doesn’t believe it’s the right move by the Duchess.

“I admired the fact that she couldn’t care less what the trolls think. Good for her. She is supporting an all-female run business.”
However, Lisa’s advice was to not do these kind of deals.
“If I was Meghan and Harry, I’d go quiet. I’d go off and make really good documentaries for Netflix. Little side line things don’t help.”
The company is run by co-founder Hannah Mendoza, who Meghan endorsed in a statement obtained by Fox News.
“This investment is in support of a passionate female entrepreneur who prioritises building community alongside her business,” Meghan wrote in a statement.
“I’m proud to invest in Hannah’s commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love and has a holistic approach to wellness. I believe in her and I believe in her company.”

The business was initially run as a pop-up coffee bar in Santa Barbara, with the products now sold online.
The company also donates a percentage of its revenue to organisations fighting for food justice in the US.
“Entrepreneurs need funding, but they also need advisers who care deeply about what they are building. I’m grateful to have found both in the Duchess of Sussex,” Mendoza told Fox News. “Her passion for what we’re creating is palpable, and I couldn’t imagine a more aligned partnership. We’re excited for the road ahead.”
In September, it was revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan would be creating Netflix content.
The New York Times broke the news, with an earnest quote from the couple themselves saying: “Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.”
The story also revealed that they already have “an innovative nature docu-series and an animated series that celebrates inspiring women” in development.
