A shocking video of Britney Spears appearing to be slapped by NBA star Victor Wembanyama’s security guard has emerged.
The 41-year-old singer had been trying to tap the San Antonio Spurs player on the shoulder to ask for a photo.
In the video obtained by TMZ, Britney is heard saying, "Excuse me, sir," when Wembanyama’s security guard Damian Smith appears to slap her, knocking off her sunglasses.

Britney's team is heard exclaiming after the incident, with her husband Sam Asghari seen moving towards Smith, while the singer tries to compose herself.
She is then heard yelling in what seems to be a British accent, "That's America for you! F**k you all!"
An eyewitness told TMZ the singer appeared "extremely agitated" following the incident and seemed to be in disbelief.
'Traumatic experiences are not new to me'
Britney took to Instagram to share a statement on the matter, writing, "Traumatic experiences are not new to me and I have had my fair share of them. I was not prepared for what happened to me last night."
She shared that she had noticed Wembanyama at her hotel before dinner, and then again at a different hotel and wanted to "approach him and congratulate him on his success".
"It was really loud, so I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention," Britney wrote. "I am aware of the player's statement where he mentions 'I grabbed him from behind' but I simply tapped him on the shoulder. His security then back handed me in the face, without looking back, in front of a crows. Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses [to fall] off my face."
She added, "I get swarmed by people all the time. In fact, that night. I was swarmed by a group of at least 20 fans. My security team didn't hit any of them."
The singer continued, saying she hopes to receive an apology from Wembanyama and his security team and thanked the Las Vegas PD for their support.
Wembanyama speaks out
Wembanyama described his version of events to ESPN, saying, "There was one person who was calling me, but security told me I couldn’t stop because it would have made a crowd. That person grabbed me from behind. I didn’t see what happened because I was walking straight and didn’t stop, and that person grabbed me from behind, so I just let security push her away. I don’t know with how much force, though.

"Security pushed her away, and I didn’t stop to look. I kept walking and enjoyed a nice dinner. When I got back to the hotel, I didn’t forget about this, but I thought it was no big deal. And then [I was told] this was Britney Spears. At first, I was like, ‘No, you’re joking!’ But yeah, it turns out it was Britney Spears.
"I never saw her face."
Las Vegas police release statement
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has since released a statement saying no charges will be filed as it was Britney's own hand that hit her face, when Wembanyama's security guard tried to move her hand from the player's shoulder.
In an incident report obtained by KTNV, an investigator wrote, "Detectives and I were able to review surveillance footage of the event which showed Britney going to tap the Spurs player on the shoulder."
"When she touched the player [the security guard] pushes her hand off the player without looking which causes Britney's hand to hit herself in the face."
