The Hollywood A-lister was in the spotlight for eight days, defending an accusation that she slammed into retired eye doctor Terry Sanderson on the beginners' run at the exclusive Deer Valley Resort in Utah in 2016.
Sanderson was suing for $450,000 claiming Paltrow was distracted while watching her children ski and ploughed into him.
The 76-year-old said he suffered four broken ribs and brain injuries that have severely impacted his life.

Paltrow was reading off a completely different script, saying it was Sanderson who collided with her.
"Two skis came between my skis, forcing my legs apart," she told the court.
"There was a body pressing against me and there was a strange grunting noise.

"My brain was trying to make sense of what was happening.
"I thought, 'is this a practical joke? Is this someone doing something really perverted? This is really strange'."
She was asked if she thought it was a sexual assault.
"No, I am not saying that," she replied.
Her attorney argued Sanderson was seeking both fame and fortune.
He was asked why he sent his daughter a text saying, "I'm famous now" and if he thought it was cool to run into a celebrity.
"Absolutely not. That's not who I am. I am not into celebrity worship," he responded.
The trial was broadcast live through the US and was watched by millions.
Millions more tuned into analysis, including what Paltrow wore each day to court and her body language.
It was hugely entertaining and in the end the Oscar and verdict went to the Hollywood star who had sought a symbolic damages payout of $1.
However Sanderson will also have to pay for her legal fees, which run into several hundreds of thousands of dollars.
