Matthew Perry’s ex-lover claims he sent her to fetch heroin and cocaine while she was five months pregnant at the height of his cruel drug addiction, The Sun has revealed.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Kayti Edwards, who was intimate with the Friends actor and then stayed close to him in the 2000s, alleges she agreed to collect drugs for Perry to protect him as he struggled to get to grips with his crippling drug problem.
Kayti said she is delighted that the star now has a handle on his addiction and found happiness with fiancee Molly Hurwitz, who he announced his engagement to last week.

She described him as being unlike any celebrity she‘d met, saying: “He’s funny, easygoing, and I just felt really comfortable around him. We were buddies and loved hanging out.”
But during the throes of addiction she revealed how she would go to meet dealers to stop him from “wandering around the streets” himself and getting caught.
Recalling some of his most harrowing days around 2011, she said: “At that point in his downfall, it was whatever I could get pretty much.
“I was like five months pregnant going down and getting stuff for him.
“He [would say], ‘No one’s going to pull over a pregnant girl. Don’t worry.’
“He would set it up and say, ‘OK, go to this address and meet this person, they’re going to come out and hand you a bag.’ I’d drive straight to him.
“We’d open the bag, sometimes it was pills, cocaine, sometimes it would be heroin and crack, it was just like a smorgasbord, you never knew what you were going to get.”
She insists she never did drugs with the 51-year-old star and barely drinks herself, but wanted to stop him from getting caught and hoped he’d eventually get clean.
“I look back and think, ‘What kind of friend was I?’ [But] I wanted to help him,” she said.
“He’d give me this guilt trip like, ‘If you don’t get me this I’m just gonna go there myself and walk downtown.’

“I was like, ‘No, no, no, I’ll just do it for you’ because I didn’t want him in his state of mind to A, be driving, and B, be wandering around the streets.
“It was kind of weird, our relationship turned toxic. I couldn’t say no.
“Also I was making all this money, I just had to drive, pick it up, bring it to him, boom, sometimes three times a day, sometimes I made like $3/4000 a day.
“He would always say to me, ‘Money is no object’. I was like, ‘Oh my God.’
“Matthew could have retired years ago and he’d still be a millionaire, he’d always say, ‘I’m set for life.’ But I think that he liked working.”
Kayti claims on occasion she would deliver drugs to him on set and alleges she visited him while filming the TV show Mr Sunshine at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
“I remember I would go to Paramount, up to the gate, and I’d say, ‘I’m here to see Matthew,’” she said.
“I would drive through and he would just be in the trailer. I would think, ‘How can you be working right now?
“[But] he wasn’t a functioning addict, you could see all over his face, he wasn’t fooling anybody.”
She claims his Friends co-stars, along with his inner circle at the time, started distancing themselves from him, and he realised he had to seek help.
“They didn’t want anything to do with him, he was kind of on the outs with them, only because they didn’t want to see him like that, it was really hard,” she said.

“His friends were doing fun stuff and hanging out, and he was never included because it was like, ‘How is Matthew going to show up?’ It was kind of embarrassing.
“There were times I’d be like, ‘How can somebody do this much stuff and not die’ … 80 Vicodin a day, that’s lethal.”
Perry has been very open about his long-time battle with addiction.
He famously checked himself into rehab twice during his time on Friends, firstly in 1997 to treat his addiction to prescription pills, after getting hooked following a jet ski accident.
He then returned in 2001 to deal with Vicodin, methadone, amphetamines, and alcohol addictions.
In May 2011, Perry did his third stint in rehab, which his rep claimed was to prevent a relapse.
“I couldn’t stop. Eventually, things got so bad that I couldn’t hide it, and everybody knew,” he said years later.
“You can’t have a drug problem for 30 years and then expect to have it be solved in 28 days. Getting sober is really a hard thing to do.”
Kayti claims he worked hard on his sobriety and would stay off drugs before having relapses and then starting his rehab journey again.
“You can see signs beforehand with him, he would make jokes like, ‘Let’s go get some cocaine. What do you think about that? Ah, just kidding,’” she said.
“I was like, ‘Oh gosh, it’s in his head, he’s thinking about it.’”
Kayti claimed Perry was once so high he superglued his hands to his legs.
She said: “His assistant was in the kitchen and she was on the phone.
“And this was the time where he was stuck on the couch with his hands super glued to his legs. Here I am with nail polish remover trying to get his hands unstuck.
“I was like, ‘What is she doing?’ He said, ‘Oh, she’s calling rehab’. I was like, ‘Maybe that’s a good idea.’
“He actually wandered into the neighbour’s pool naked and was swimming.
“His neighbour was like, ‘Matthew, you have a home, bro.’ That was in Hollywood.”
Talking about when she first linked up the star, she said she met him accidentally while visiting her grandparent’s house where he was discussing an audition with her grandfather who also works in the entertainment industry.
“When I met him, he looked fine, I think it was probably one of his sober bouts,” she said.
“When I saw him again, he was in AA.
“A bunch of us went out to dinner afterwards from the meeting and then we exchanged phone numbers.
“He had a house in Malibu and I grew up in Malibu. I was like, ‘Hey, whenever you come out, give me a call.’ And then it just kind of developed like that.”
She claims the pair slept together on a number of occasions before she met her husband but they never officially dated.
Kayti says she’s happy he’s now reportedly free of drugs and alcohol and hopes he stays on the right path after popping the question to his girlfriend of two years, Molly Hurwitz, 29.
He stunned Hollywood last week by announcing his engagement to People, describing the literary manager as the “greatest woman on the face of the planet”.
