Olsen twins Mary Kate and Ashley have made a rare public statement to pay tribute to their TV dad Bob Saget following his sudden death.
The girls released a joint statement to PEOPLE magazine sending their condolences to the Full House star’s family.
“Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man,” the twins wrote.
“We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has,” said Mary-Kate and Ashley.
“We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences.”
The twins shot to fame on the 1990s hit show, where Saget played their TV dad for eight seasons.
Comedian Tom Green also added to the outpouring of tributes.
“I am extremely saddened to just hear of the passing of my friend Bob Saget. You were always hilarious and kind. You made my life and so many other peoples lives better Bob. Rest In Peace,” he wrote.
Pete Davidson wrote a heartfelt message on his friend’s account.
“I don’t have social media so I asked Dave if he could post this for me,” the Saturday Night Live star penned a message posted via Dave Sirus’ Instagram.
“Just wanted you guys to know that Bob Saget was one of the nicest men on the planet. When I was younger and several times throughout our friendship he helped me get through some rough mental health stuff.
“He stayed on the phone for hours trying to help in any way he can — connecting us with doctors and new things we can try. He would check in on me and make sure I was OK.”
Whoopi Goldberg remembered the actor’s “huge heart and abject lunacy”.
Overnight, the whole Full House cast released a joint statement, remembering his warm hugs.
“Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family, and now we grieve as a family,” the cast said.
“Bob made us laugh until we cried. Now our tears flow in sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob.
“He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly. We ask in Bob’s honor, hug the people you love. No one gave better hugs than Bob.”
The statement was signed by stars John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin, Andrea Barber, Scott Weinger, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, as well as series creator Jeff Franklin.
Police confirmed that they had found the star, who had been touring with his comedy show, unresponsive at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando.
An autopsy has found no evidence of drug use or foul play, however, a cause of death is still unknown.
