Fans at the start of the line had been there since yesterday morning waiting more than 24 hours for the 70,000-strong show.
"I got here at 11am yesterday morning so I will have been here for like a day and a half," fan Rain said.
"He's been able to bring all of these people together. I really just think he inspires us to be ourselves and I'm just excited to hear some tunes," fan Sabrina said.
It comes despite warnings of extreme heat in Melbourne today as temperatures climbed to 32 degrees.
General Admission opened at 5pm.
Fans queued for hours yesterday at Marvel Stadium to secure pre-sale merchandise ahead of his concerts tonight and tomorrow.
Many fans have travelled from interstate with a large number from Adelaide where the pop star won't tour.
Tickets were first sold in 2019 so fans have had a long time to embrace the hype.
"I'm so incredibly excited, we've waited three years for this the first time he scheduled it so we can't wait, we can't wait at all," a group of girls said.
After tomorrow night's concert he will head to Queensland before finishing his tour with performances at Sydney Olympic Park on March 3 and 4.
