Eminem announced on his social media platforms Saturday that he's 11 years sober.
The rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, posted a picture of his 11-year chip on his Twitter and Instagram pages with the caption, "11 years - still not afraid."
He posted a similar picture last year to mark a decade.
He's spoken openly in the past about his addiction to drugs, including admitting that a 2007 hospitalization originally reported as pneumonia was actually an overdose on blue pills someone gave him that wound up being methadone.
The now-46-year-old says he's been sober since April 20, 2008. Two of the albums he's released since then, "Relapse" and "Recovery," address his addiction and comeback.
